What a card is

A Firsthand card is a digital record built from a photograph or video you captured, stamped with where and when it was taken. A card records one photograph and where and when it was taken. Verification covers the place and the time, not the subject of the photo.

Your content

• You keep ownership of every photo and video you capture. By minting a card you grant us the limited license needed to display, store, trade, and print that card at your direction.
• Only capture what you have the right to capture. Follow the venue's rules. You are responsible for the content of your cards, including names you type that we could not verify.
• Cards that contain unlawful content, harassment, or other people's intellectual property presented as your own may be removed.

Minting, trading, and gifting

• Trade-card mints are capped per person per event. Caps are identical for all users and are never for sale.
• One card has exactly one holder. Trading or gifting a card transfers it; you no longer hold what you gave. The chain of ownership is permanent and public via the card's QR code.
• Rare pulls are determined by a published, verifiable method and cannot be purchased, granted, or influenced, by anyone, including us.
• Verification stamps are never edited. A card that failed a verification gate says so, permanently.

Team and school accounts

School and program accounts are managed by the school's own authorized coach or director, who is responsible for having the necessary rights and consents for roster photos and any team marks they upload. Team logos are applied only by the team's own account, never by us.

Printing

Printed cards are produced from your card's press file by our printing partners and shipped to the address you provide. Physical print sales are final once production begins, except for defects, which we will reprint.

Fair dealing

Attempting to spoof location, falsify capture, or manipulate verification is grounds for removal of the affected cards and the account. The value of every honest card depends on this.
